Kashyap turns love guru for Kunal, Huma

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap gave love tips to Kunal Kapoor and Huma Qureshi while picturising an intimate scene with them in Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana.

Kashyap says that the film is about food as well as true romance.

" Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana is what I call 'aromance'. It's about romanticising about Chicken Khurana and the hunt for the missing recipe and it also has a sweet and endearing romance between Huma's character and Kunal's character," Kashyap, who has co-produced the film, said in a statement.

"Simplicity of it will touch the hearts of many. So, through the film and its promotions we are not just talking about food and tips to making good food, we are also talking about how a true romance should be," he added.

Directed by Sameer Sharma, the film is a funny story about a Punjabi family - the Khuranas. They run a dhaba and take pride in their food, especially their patent Chicken recipe.

The movie is set for a Nov 2 release

Portman's Christian Dior ad banned

A Natalie Portman ad for a Christian Dior mascara has been banned for exaggerating the effect of the product on her lashes.

The 31-year-old is the face of Dior mascara that claims to deliver "spectacular volume-multiplying effect, lash by lash".

But rival company L'Oreal complained to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), arguing that the ad was misleading and it is unlikely that the product would give such effects, reports mirror.co.uk

The magazine ad shows a picture of Portman with the text: "Lash-multiplying effect volume and care mascara. The miracle of a nano brush for an unrivalled lash creator effect. It delivers spectacular volume-multiplying effect, lash by lash."

Bosses at Dior admitted that the image had been digitally retouched, saying it was done to "increase the length and curve of a number of lashes" as some of the actress's eyelashes were "missing or damaged" in the original photo.

Following the complain, authorities at ASA banned the ad from being used again, saying it was misleading and exaggerated the effects of the mascara.

Nagarjuna is one star who is known for his cool and suave sophisticated approach and many like his cucumber attitude with a icy cool head and relaxed composure. But there are those who say when Nag goes angry then it is no less than a volcano. And the lava is now being felt by his very rich fan.

Poonam Pandey on her movie debut: Yes, it's an adult film

Controversy queen Poonam Pandey, who is set to start shooting for her debut Hindi movie, says that the untitled project will have some bold and intense scenes but won't face any problems with the censor board.

"Yes, it's an adult film, it's a bold film but the script is very strong. I know people love to watch bold films, but for me, the script matters. The story of this film is great. My family is very happy with my debut film. They are saying it's the right move," Poonam told IANS

"I don't think we will have to face any problem with the censor board. Yes, I agree we have some bold and intense scenes in the film but it should not create any problem," she added. Jism fame director Amit Saxena is wielding the megaphone for the film.

Poonam created a stir when she offered to go nude before Team India if it won the 2011 cricket World Cup. Poonam also announced that she would strip if superstar Shah Rukh Khan's franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) win the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). And the model kept her word. Post the KKR win in May, she posted her nude picture on Twitter.

Talking about her expectation from her first film, she said: "I want to be the heart of a film and not just a part of a film." They have just finished workshop for yet to be titled movie and rehearsed for some intense scenes during that.

"The film will go on the floors this week and some portions are scheduled to be shot in Mumbai and some outside Mumbai. The first look shall tell you what the film is about," she said.

"I can't reveal much about my film. The title and all the details will be revealed soon. The first look of the film will be launched in two to three days.

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has won the best television host award for the popular game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.


"How did it happen? It`s the People`s Choice Award by Colors channel for the best television host for KBC. Thank you all, who voted for me," tweeted Amitabh.

First aired in 2000, KBC hosted by Amitabh marked his maiden appearance on Indian television. The sixth season is currently on air on Sony. Big B has hosted five seasons, except for the third one, which saw actor Shah Rukh Khan playing host.

The 70-year-old has previously won the Indian Telly Awards, BIG Television Awards, The Global Indian Film and TV Honours among others.

The filmmakers of actor Ram's next flick had been deliberating over the title Ongole Githa for quite sometime now. After much consideration like they have finally decided to stick with the same title. Ongole Githa is a very popular variety of oxen that is found in the Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh!

Actor Ram confirmed the news saying, "We just had a meeting with the producers this morning and came to the conclusion that considering the story, hero's character, backdrop etc, we have decided to go with Ongole Githa as the title of the movie."

Billed as entertaining lover story, the film is being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar. "The film will have Bhaskar's trademark love story, cure relations and another new angle as well," adds Ram.

Kajal Aggarwal to play a cameo in Yevadu

Kajal Aggarwal, who was last seen in the Mahesh Babu-starrer 'Businessman', is playing a cameo in Padipalli Vamsi's Telugu flick 'Yevadu', starring Ram Charan Tej. This is the third film in which the actress will share screen space with Charan after their blockbuster 'Magadheera' and their upcoming V V Vinayak film.

Confirming this development, producer Dil Raju tells us, "Yes, Kajal is playing a cameo in the movie in which she will be paired opposite Allu Arjun's character. The shooting is progressing now." Amy Jackson and Samantha are playing the female leads opposite Charan in this movie.

Mahesh Babu to lock lips with Kajal again?

When Mahesh Babu locked lips with actress Kajal Aggarwal, albeit for a fleeting moment in Businessman, it went on to be one of the most talked about aspects of the film. But it looks like Mahesh is all set to do an encore in his upcoming flick being directed by Sukumar.

Samantha dubs for herself in SVSC

Actress Samantha has decided to start speaking for herself . . . in the movies that is. The actress is all set to dub for herself in her next flick, the much talked about Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu ( SVSC). She is paired opposite Mahesh Babu in the movie. Venkatesh and Anjali are also starring in the flick.

The actress shared the news through her twitter account saying, "So I have taken on the Herculean task of dubbing for my Telugu films....SVSC dubbing day 1.... Half way through...I am still alive hee hee."

The actress has been working on her Telugu for quite sometime now and is apparently very excited about the whole thing. In any case this is going to be a bit of a litmus test for the actress. Singer Chinmayi's husky voice was big part of her success in her debut flick, ye Maya Chesave. The singer has lent her voice to Samantha in a few films since. We will have to wait and see how the audience will react to it.

How Allu Arjun become a ‘Race Gurram’?

Stylish Star Allu Arjun is set to act in a new film in the direction of Surender Reddy and the movie will be launched on tomorrow (October 24). The formal pooja ceremony will be held in Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. Few Tollywood celebrities along with the film cast & crew will grace this launch ceremony.

According to film nagar reports, makers are considering ‘Race Gurram’ as the movie title. However, makers not yet confirmed the movie title.

Samantha might play the female lead role in this untitled film. Music Director Thaman, who is riding high with many successful albums is composing the music for this film.

Grand Release: Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum on Nov 9

The release date of Rana Daggubati’s upcoming film “Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum” is set for a grand release on November 9. Rana is pairing up with Nayanatara in this film. Rana Daggubati is playing a theatre artist role, while Nayanthara is playing a document filmmaker.

Hero Venkatesh and actress Sameera Reddy will be seen in a cameo roles. Bollywood actor Milind Gunaji is playing the negative role in the film. Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivas Rao will be seen in supporting roles.

The film is being shot in Tamil version along with Telugu version and both the languages will be released simultaneously on the same day. Tamil version of the movie has titled as ‘Ongaram’ (Omkaram).

Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum is directed by Krish of Gamyam and Vedam fame. The film is being produced by Jagarlamudi Sai Babu in First Frame entertainment banner. Gnana Sekhar is the cinematographer. Mani Sharma has composed the music for this film.

Perhaps one of the most soft and non violent communities that we see around are the Brahmins and they are quite a subject for the filmmakers in south. One director who is noted for that in Tollywood is G Nageshwar Reddy and this time it is heard that few Brahmin groups are having their doubts on him.

When Nageshwar Reddy made ‘Seema Sastry’ he did a lot of comedy on Brahmins. Just like Sardarjis in north, the Brahmins are often subjected to humour in south cinema. Nageshwar Reddy took the liberty in a similar way and did many stints. And now it is heard that few Brahmin groups are looking forward to Nageshwar Reddy’s new film.
